Who We Are

The central focus of the Church since the time of Christ has been simply to set people free from a life that wears them down, burns them up, and then spits them out. But to help us stay centered on what’s really important, we have identified three areas of focus that help us do what Christ did: Set people free.

INSPIRING NEXT STEPS

Whenever we gather, whether it is in a large group on Sunday or a small group during the week, our goal is that we will inspire people to connect with God and to take a next step in their relationship with Him.

EQUIPPING LEADERS

Leadership Development is our process to help people lead like Jesus. We want to equip leaders to lead others here at Lifepointe Church but also in their homes, schools and workplaces. Our vision is to be a place of overflowing leadership so that more people in our community will connect with God.

MULTIPLYING THE MISSION

Statistics show that opening a new church or location is the best way to reach people. That’s why we are dedicated to planting new churches locally and globally and opening new locations across the Triangle to reach as many people as possible.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE CORE OF OUR FAITH

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8 & John 3:16

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13 & 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

The Bible in its entirety is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God in its original manuscripts. The original writers were and are unlike any other writers, as they were given special guidance by the Holy Spirit to write down God’s revelation of Himself to humankind. Therefore, we accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16 & Psalm 119:105

Man – Every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

Salvation is a gift from God to man. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Those accepting Christ repent of sin, confess their faith, and are baptized into Him.
John 3:16; Romans 10:9 & Acts 2:38

The Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and is obligated to share Christ in a relevant way with those who do not know him, serve the helpless, and give hope to the hopeless.
Ephesians 4:1-16, James 1:26-27

Eternity – Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15

Our Core

JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING.
When we decide to follow Him, Jesus brings transformation. Some of these changes are immediate and others are ongoing.
(2 Corinthians 4:16,5:17)

PEOPLE GROW IN COMMUNITY.
We were created to be together and spiritual growth happens in the context of relationship.
(Ephesians 4:16)

EVERYONE HAS A MISSION.
Each follower of Christ is given the same mission: to make disciples.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8)
