Weekend Football Stats: Mbappé, Salah, Haaland, and More! (2025)

The weekend's football matches across Europe's top leagues were nothing short of thrilling. Arsenal maintained their winning streak, now six points clear at the top of the Premier League, while Liverpool snapped their losing streak with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa. Manchester City and Chelsea also emerged victorious in their respective matches. In LaLiga, Real Madrid's dominance continued with a 4-0 win over Valencia, and Barcelona secured a win against Elche. Bayern Munich led the way in the Bundesliga, while AC Milan made a strong showing in Serie A. ESPN's By The Numbers brings you the best of the stats from these matches.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Erling Haaland became only the third player to score 2+ goals in four or more consecutive Premier League home appearances, following in the footsteps of Robbie Fowler and Luis Suárez. Haaland has scored 12 Premier League goals this season, matching Les Ferdinand's record from 1995-96 and his own 2022-23 campaign.

Mohamed Salah has equalled Wayne Rooney's record for the most goal involvements in the Premier League for a single club, with 188 goals and 88 assists for Liverpool. He also scored his 250th goal for the club, becoming just the third player in Liverpool's history to achieve this milestone, after Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.

Arsenal's winning streak continued, winning seven consecutive games without conceding in all competitions for the second time in the club's history. They have scored eight league goals via corners this season, the most ever by a team in their first 10 games of a Premier League campaign.

Wolves have struggled, failing to win any of their opening 10 league games in both of their last two seasons. Manchester United's Amad Diallo has scored 10 Premier League goals, with 6 of them coming in the final 10 minutes plus stoppage time, making him the player with the most goals in the 80th minute or later since the start of last season.

LALIGA

Barcelona's Lamine Yamal has scored 17 goals in 80 LaLiga appearances, making him the second-highest scorer before turning 19 in Europe's top five leagues in the 21st century, behind only Kylian Mbappé.

Mbappé has scored 13 goals in 11 league matches in 2025/26, matching Cristiano Ronaldo's record from the 21st century. He presented his Golden Boot at the Santiago Bernabéu before the match against Valencia.

Antoine Griezmann scored his 200th goal in LaLiga, becoming the 11th player and the sixth foreigner to reach this milestone in the competition's history.

BUNDESLIGA

Bayern Munich have won 15 competitive matches in a row, a record only achieved once before in the team's history under Hansi Flick in 2020. Borussia Dortmund kept their sixth clean sheet of the season, equalling the record held by Arsenal and setting a new club record.

SERIE A

AC Milan have extended their Serie A unbeaten streak to 9 games, with only Atlético Madrid having a longer such streak in Europe's top 5 leagues. Inter Milan secured a win with an own goal by Verona's Martin Frese in stoppage time, a rare occurrence in Serie A.

Excluding newly promoted teams, Napoli are one of two clubs in the top 5 European leagues who are unbeaten at home in 2025, alongside Monaco.

RONALDO-MESSI WATCH

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi were both involved in goals in their respective matches. Ronaldo scored twice in Al Nassr's win over Al Feiha, bringing him closer to 1,000 career goals. Messi scored in a 2-1 loss of Inter Miami to Nashville, with 4 goals in the last 3 MLS Cup matches and 10 goals in 6 career matches against Nashville SC.
