So, without delay, let’s look at the best Thrall Master build for Conan Exiles: Age of Sorcery.
Best Thrall Master Build In Conan Exiles Age Of Sorcery
Thralls can be valuable for various reasons, as they can be used for harvesting or engaging in combat, whether offensively or defensively. To acquire a Thrall, you will need to complete the Thrall Take Journey which you’ll receive the blueprint for the Purple Lotus Orb, but more importantly, unlocks Thralls.
There are dozens of Thralls to be found in The Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, and they can be incorporated into a build that enhances Follower Damage, Health Pool (HP), and Stamina recovery for you and your Thralls. We've detailed the best Attributes, perks, weapons, armor, and Thrall options for this Thrall Master build in Conan Exiles.
Conan Exiles Thrall Master Build: Best Attributes, Stats & Perks
The main purpose for this build is to gain as many followers or combat Thralls as possible by pooling most of the Attribute points into Agility and Authority, the latter granting you more Thralls. As Thralls will be dealing and taking most of the damage, HP recovery is vital to ensuring they survive long enough in combat and recover Health and Stamina as quickly.
- Strength: 0
- Agility: 15
- Vitality: 15
- Authority: 20 (Max)
- Grit: 5
- Expertise: 10
Agility:
If you opt for Agility over Strength, you may get some Stamina back, boosting your damage output from Agility-based weapons. Additionally, you can gain armor penetration; any movement will reduce Stamina but make you much faster.
- Backstab: Attacks from behind will deal 15% increased damage.
- Deadshot: Arrow and all thrown weapons travel double the speed and inflict 15% more damage to far-away enemies.
- Quickfooted: Climbing, jogging, jumping, sprinting, and swimming will cost less Stamina and will be faster.
Vitality:
The Vitality attribute primarily deals with your health or HP, which you’ll max out to gain the various perks for this build. You’ll need as much HP regeneration as possible, so you’ll be spending much of your Attribute points in Vitality.
- Fierce Vitality: You will gain passive health regeneration.
- Fast Healer: Healing effects will give you 50% increased healing.
- Robust: Your max HP will be increased by 100.
Authority:
This attribute determines the damage your followers deal and the Concussive Damage you inflict. What differs from other builds is that the perks selected grant various bonuses for your followers or Thralls, which keeps them in combat for longer.
- Irritate: Active followers will taunt enemies by provoking them to attack the followers.
- Healthy Diet: All active followers receive a passive health regeneration when out of combat.
- Attentive Care: 50% increased healing will be granted to your active followers.
- Well-Trained: Your followers will have their attributes increased.
Grit:
The Grit attribute will influence your Stamina pool's size and directly affect the armor equipped. As HP and Stamina will be a massive issue with this build due to the Armor weight, you’ll need to get the perks to help you regain that Stamina.
- Tenacity: Your armor is increased by 40 and your Stamina by 20.
Expertise:
The final Attribute category deals with the encumbrance: how much load or weight you can carry and which armor, weapons, and tools can contribute. This will affect your Stamina as the heavier the load, the more Stamina will be used to perform actions like dashing, running, and sprinting.
- Survivalist: All tools can lose their durability 50% faster while hunger and thirst decrease 33% slower.
Conan Exiles Thrall Master Build: Best Weapons, Armor & More
As your Thralls will deal with and absorb most of the damage in combat, your Thralls need to fight stronger and harder against enemies. While your character will provide as much support as possible, you still need protection before engaging in battle.
The Skelos Cultist Master armor set may be a Medium classed armor; however, its stats will grant you a vital boost when wielding weapons and for your Thralls. Each piece in this set gives you a 10% Follower Damage bonus and an 8% increase to Agility weapons, meaning you’ll gain 50% more Follower Damage and a 40% bonus to all Agility-based weapons.
For weapon options, keeping the Agility weapon bonus received from the Skelos Cultist Master armor set, your weapons must scale with Agility. You can utilize a short sword and a shield, like the Star Metal Short Sword, the Venom-drenched Gladius, and the Voidforge Gladius.
The best weapons for this build are late-game ones like two-handed Whirlwind Blades and ranged weapons like the Reach of the Red Mother. The former comes with a Bleed buff, and the latter can only be crafted using Dragonbone, which can be found at The Arena, such as other good options like the Blood-Moon, Khari, and Derketo’s Voice bows.
Like we’ve mentioned, your active followers or Thralls are the centerpiece of this build, as you’ll come to depend on your named Fighter Thralls. More specifically, you’ll need four Tier 4 (T4) Fighter Thralls that deal large amounts of damage; we’ve listed the best T4 Fighter Thralls below:
- Beastmaster Teimos
- Cimmerian Berserker / Accursed Berserker (Isle of Siptah)
- Dalinsia Snowhunter / Dalinsia the Accursed (Isle of Siptah)
- Lian
Armor-wise, the Hyperborean Slaver armor set is your best option to equip your Thralls with a few tweaks. You’ll be swapping out the hood and chest pieces for the Redeemed Legion Helmet and the Voidforged Dragon Ribs, as both pieces give you an 8% Strength Weapon Damage bonus each.
You can, however, use the Hyperborean hood and chest piece until you've acquired the blueprints for the Redeemed Legion Helmet and the Voidforged Dragon Ribs. The remaining armor pieces give you a 5% Strength Weapon Damage bonus, each with a combined total of 31% Strength Weapon Damage.
The Telith’s Sorrow is by far the best Strength weapon for Fighter Thralls, but it’s an endgame weapon, so any Strength weapon or longsword dealing AoE damage can also work. Other viable options like the Star Metal Great Sword can work until you've looted Telith’s Sorrow but don’t forget to apply the Master Weapon Fitting upgrade.
